Lips

Having your lips enhanced with a cosmetic tattooing procedure helps to keep your lips looking natural and healthy. It restores definition, balance and colour. Various colours are available to achieve a stronger lipstick style enhancement, or a softer look. Once the lips are numbed using a topical anesthetic, the lip design is drawn on using a brush and your chosen lip colour. When you have approved the lip design, the lip colour is then implanted to your desired style.

How does it work?

1 How Does It Work?

Firstly a topical anesthetic is applied to the treatment area. While waiting for the numbing cream to activate, your pigment colour is chosen. Professional advise is offered on design, proportions, makeup technique and colour. Based on your style preference, the design is drawn on the skin. When you are totally satisfied with the drawn design, the tattoo machine is fitted with a new sterile needle and the tattoo treatment begins. The treatment can last from 1-2 hours depending on the procedure and skin type. Four to six weeks post treatment, you are invited to return for a refinement visit to check colour absorption and shape. Some skins require a follow up treatment for various reasons.

2 Does It Hurt?

Topical numbing creams allow cosmetic tattooing to be practically painless. Advancements in safe topical anaesthetics allow procedures to be performed with very little discomfort. Most clients admit that tweezing hurts more than tattooing.

3 How Long Does It Last?

Cosmetics tattooing pigments are implanted into the skin and are designed to fade over time. As skin cells renew, the tattoo colour gradually gets lighter and fades. Colour boosts are recommended every 12 to 18 months to keep enhancements looking fresh.
